In the 1970's Texas Instruments led the way in automation with high quality robust Programmable Logic Control equipment, which continued for many years under the Siemens SIMATIC® TI banner.
Much of the early TI equipment is still running plant today. The 5TI Sequencer is the only approved controller for many types of legacy nuclear power stations, because it's simple to program and service, and built of robust individual discrete components that have proved the test of time, beyond the modern day PLC hardware specifications of IEC1131-2.

Rebuilt TI PLC equipment is available from Lamonde Automation, for use as standby spares, or to extend plant operations. Equipment has been rebuilt to quality proven procedures, and undergoes a full functional test, followed by soak testing on full load for 24 hours, and is issued with a Certificate of Conformity to the original TI specifications.
